Day 1:
Morning arrival in South Africa. Our representative will be at the airport to meet you and
hand over your travel documents (Vouchers). Collect your hired car at the Budget or First Car Rentals office at
Johannesburg's O R Tambo International Airport. Depart to Pretoria for a city tour that includes
the Voortrekker Monument, Paul Kruger House, Church Square and Union Buildings. Overnight
in or near Johannesburg or the Jacaranda City of Pretoria. Our recommended restaurant - Carnivore Restaurant
at the Misty Hills Hotel.

Day 2:
Travel via Middelburg, Lydenburg , Robbers Pass and Pilgrim`s Rest to Hazyview situated in the
province of Mpumalanga, meaning "the land of the rising sun". Spend a couple of hours in the
old gold rush town of Pilgrim's Rest, a museum in its entirety. Overnight in Hazyview.

Day 3:
Travel the Panorama Route of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, admire the natural beauty of
the Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window and the Blyde River Canyon, which is the third deepest
canyon in the world, lunch along the way. Depending on availability - you can enjoy some African
culture with singing, dancing and dinner at Shangana, a traditional Shangaan village, meet the
chief with his 3 wives and 36 children. Overnight in Hazyview.

Day 4:
Visit Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (Kapama Cheetah Breeding & Research Centre) before travelling to the world-renowned
Kruger National Park (KNP), enter the park at Orpen Gate. Enjoy the rest of the day in
the KNP. Overnight in the park.
- Optional activities: Open vehicle night drive - with game ranger.

Day 5:
Enjoy a full day in the KNP in search of the "Big 5" and a host of other animals. Travel to
the southern part of the KNP. Overnight in the KNP.

Day 6:
After a leisurely breakfast you depart from the KNP for the mountain kingdom of
Swaziland. We recommend the show and lunch at Matsumo, a Swazi cultural village
situated at the border post. Overnight in Swaziland.

Day 7:
Depart from Swaziland for St Lucia. Take a cruise on the St Lucia estuary,
a lake riddled with crocodiles and hippos in the Greater St Lucia Wetlands now
known as iSimangaliso Wetland Park, which is one of South Africa`s six UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Travel to the
Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, in by-gone years this reserve
was the hunting grounds of Zulu Kings. Overnight in/near this park.

Day 8:
Spend the morning in the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, which is renowned
for its white & black rhino conservation efforts. Enjoy Zulu hospitality at
its best with a traditional Zulu festival at one of the Zulu cultural villages
in Zululand. Overnight near Eshowe.

Day 9:
Early departure for a day of history and battlefields, visit places that still
exude an ambience of a once mighty Zulu nation, such the Anglo-Zulu war battlefields
of Isandlwana and Rorke`s Drift, as well as the famous "Battle of Blood River".

Travel to the seaside town of Umhlanga, check-in at your accommodation establishment
and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day at leisure in Umhlanga with its golden beaches washed by the warm Indian
Ocean in a sub - tropical setting. Overnight in Umhlanga.

Day 11:
Travel to the Natal Drakensberg Mountains, also known as the "barrier of spears"
via the historical city of Pietermaritzburg, stop for lunch at the Howick Waterfall.

Day 12:
A day at leisure in the beautiful Natal Drakensberg Mountains where Bushmen
left their life stories in the form of paintings and drawings on the rocks
and in the caves. Various caves can be visited in the way of guided tours
or you could take a walk along one of the numerous nature trails in the parks.
Overnight near the Natal Drakensberg Mountains.

Day 13:
Travel the Oliviershoek Pass to the village of Clarens and the Golden Gate
Highlands National Park. Spend the afternoon relaxing or take a walk along
one of the numerous nature trails in the park.

Day 14:
A day of travelling through the picturesque eastern Free State Province,
visiting small towns such as Ficksburg, Ladybrand and Zastron. Overnight
near Tussen Die Riviere / Gariep Dam Nature Reserve.

Travel to the historical town of Graaff-Reinet known as the "Gem of the Karoo".
Spend the afternoon in the Karoo National Reserve and the "Valley of Desolation".
Evening at leisure. Overnight in Graaff-Reinet.

After a leisurely breakfast you depart for Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo
(semi desert area). Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

Visit the Cango Caves, Cango Wildlife Ranch and Safari Ostrich Farm for lunch,
also learn everything and more than you might want to know about ostriches.

Day 18:
Travel via Outeniqua Pass to George a 60km drive that reflects the great
diversities of nature South Africa has to offer. Travel along the Garden
Route to Knysna. Visit the "Big Tree", Bloukrans and the Storms river
suspension bridge in the Tsitsikamma National Park. Overnight in Knysna.

Day 19:
A morning at leisure. This afternoon you can take the ferry across the lagoon to
the Featherbed Nature Reserve for a 4 x 4 trailer-ride tour and hike through
the reserve. Overnight in Knysna.

Day 20:
Travel to Cape Town via Riversdale and Swellendam. Weather permitting - take the
cableway up Table Mountain on your arrival in the Mother City. Overnight in

Day 21:
Take a scenic drive around the Cape of Good Hope. Visit Hout Bay and the Cape
Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point,
Boulders - Penguins and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. Have lunch
along the way. Overnight in Cape Town. Our recommended restaurant - Hildebrand
on the V & A Waterfront.

Day 22:
Visit the Cape's world-renowned Stellenbosch wine route, also spend some time in
the historical towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 23:
Morning at leisure or visit the city centre of South Africa's beautiful
Mother City, sights such as the Castle of Good Hope, Parade Ground, City Hall,
House of Parliament, Tuinhuis and the Dutch East India Company Gardens or you
could visit Robben Island, the place where Mr. Nelson Mandela was imprisoned
for 17 years. Lunch at the V & A Waterfront, time for last minute shopping.
Return to Cape Town International Airport and drop-off the hired car at
the Budget or First Car Rentals office at the airport. Catch your flight home.
