Day 1:
Morning arrival in South Africa. Our representative will be at the airport to meet you and
hand over your travel documents (Vouchers). Collect your hired car at the Avis or Europcar office at
Johannesburg's O R Tambo International Airport. Depart to Pretoria for a city tour that includes
the Voortrekker Monument, Paul Kruger House, Church Square and Union Buildings. Overnight
in or near the Jacaranda City of Pretoria. Our recommended restaurant - Carnivore Restaurant
at the Misty Hills Hotel.

Day 2:
Travel via Middelburg, Lydenburg , Robbers Pass and Pilgrim`s Rest to Hazyview situated in the
province of Mpumalanga, meaning "the land of the rising sun". Spend a couple of hours in the
old gold rush town of Pilgrim's Rest, a museum in its entirety. Overnight in Hazyview.

Day 3:
Travel the Panorama Route of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, admire the natural beauty of
the Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window and the Blyde River Canyon, which is the third deepest
canyon in the world, lunch along the way. Depending on availability - you can enjoy some African
culture with singing, dancing and dinner at Shangana, a traditional Shangaan village, meet the
chief with his 3 wives and 36 children. Overnight in Hazyview.

Day 4:
Depart for the world-renowned Kruger National Park (KNP), visit Moholoholo Animal
Rehabilitation Centre and Kapama Cheetah Breeding & Research Centre. Enter the KNP
through Orpen Gate, spend the rest of the day in the KNP. Overnight in the KNP.

Day 5:
Enjoy a full day in the KNP in search of the "Big 5" and a host of other animals. Travel to
the southern part of the KNP. Overnight in the KNP.
- Optional activities: Open vehicle sunset drive - with game ranger.

Day 6:
Depart after breakfast from the KNP for the mountain kingdom of Swaziland.
We recommend the show and lunch at Matsumo, a Swazi cultural village situated
at the border post. Also visit on route Ngwenya Glass, before heading for your
overnight destination. Overnight in Swaziland.

Day 7:
After a leisurely morning and a visit to Swazi Candles, you depart from Swaziland for Hluhluwe
in the heart of Zululand. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure at your lodge / hotel. Overnight
in / near the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve.

Day 8:
This morning you have an option of joining the ranger on a game walk, rest of the morning at leisure.
Spend the afternoon in the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, in by-gone years this reserve was the
hunting grounds of Zulu Kings and the reserve is also renowned for its white & black rhino conservation
efforts. Overnight in / near the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve.

Day 9:
Take a cruise on the St Lucia estuary, a lake riddled with crocodiles and hippos in the Greater
St Lucia Wetlands, which is one of South Africa`s six World Heritage Sites. This afternoon or
evening you can enjoy Zulu hospitality at its best with a traditional Zulu festival at one of
the Zulu cultural villages in Zululand. Overnight near Eshowe.

Day 10:
Depart for Durban. Drop-off the hired car at the Avis or Europcar office at Durban International Airport.
Catch an afternoon flight to Port Elizabeth. (We recommend you book your flight between: 13h00 - 15h30).
Collect your car at the Avis or Europcar office at PE Airport. Overnight in PE.

Day 11:
Travel along the Garden Route to Knysna. Visit the "Big Tree", Bloukrans and the
Storms river mouth suspension bridge in the Tsitsikamma National Park. Overnight
in Knysna. Our recommended restaurant - Dry Dock on the Knysna Waterfront.

Day 12:
A morning at leisure. This afternoon you can take the ferry across the lagoon
to the Featherbed Nature Reserve for a 4 x 4 trailer-ride tour and hike through
the reserve. Overnight in Knysna.

Day 13:
Travel via George and the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo
(semi desert area) a 60km drive that reflects the great diversities of nature
South Africa has to offer. Visit the Cango Caves, Cango Wildlife Ranch and
Safari Ostrich Farm for lunch, also learn everything and more than you
might want to know about ostriches. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

Day 14:
Travel to Cape Town - In the whaling season via Riversdale, Swellendam and Hermanus or out of season,
via the scenic Route 62. Weather permitting - take the cableway up Table Mountain on your arrival
in the Mother City. Overnight in Cape Town. Our recommended restaurant - Greek Fisherman on the V & A Waterfront.

Day 15:
Take a scenic drive around the Cape of Good Hope. Visit Hout Bay and the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island,
Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point, Boulders - Penguins. Have lunch in Simonstown. Overnight in Cape Town.
Our recommended restaurant - Hildebrand on the V & A Waterfront.

Day 16:
A day to relax in Cape Town, or to visit places such as Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens or
one of the Capes beautiful beaches. For the more adventurous - maybe you could catch up on some of
the adventure activities such as shark cage diving, deep sea fishing, hiking up Table Mountain, etc. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 17:
Visit the Cape's world-renowned Stellenbosch wine route, also spend some time in the historical
towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Overnight in Cape Town. Our recommended restaurant - Five Flies in Cape Town.

Day 18:
Morning at leisure or visit the city centre of South Africa's beautiful Mother City,
sights such as the Castle of Good Hope, Parade Ground, City Hall, House of Parliament,
Tuinhuis and the Dutch East India Company Gardens or you could visit Robben Island,
the place where Mr. Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years. Lunch at the V & A
Waterfront, time for last minute shopping. Return to Cape Town International Airport
and drop-off the hired car at the Avis or Europcar office at the airport. Catch your flight home.
