Day 1:
Morning arrival in Johannesburg. Our representative will be at the airport to meet you and
hand over your travel documents (Vouchers). Collect your hired car at the Avis or Europcar office at
O R Tambo International Airport. Depart to Pretoria for a city tour that includes
the Voortrekker Monument, Paul Kruger House, Church Square and Union Buildings. Overnight
in or near the Jacaranda City of Pretoria. Our recommended restaurant - Carnivore Restaurant
at the Misty Hills Hotel.

Day 2:
Travel via Middelburg, Lydenburg , Robbers Pass and Pilgrim`s Rest to Hazyview situated in the
province of Mpumalanga, meaning "the land of the rising sun". Spend a couple of hours in the
old gold rush town of Pilgrim's Rest, a museum in its entirety. Overnight in Hazyview.

Day 3:
Travel the Panorama Route of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, admire the natural beauty of
the Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window and the Blyde River Canyon, which is the third deepest
canyon in the world, lunch along the way. Depending on availability - you can enjoy some African
culture with singing, dancing and dinner at Shangana, a traditional Shangaan village, meet the
chief with his 3 wives and 36 children. Overnight in Hazyview.

Day 4:
Visit Kapama Cheetah Breeding & Research Centre before travelling to the world-renowned
Kruger National Park (KNP), enter the park at Orpen Gate. Enjoy the rest of the day in
the KNP. Overnight in the park.
- Optional activities: Open vehicle night drive - with game ranger.
Accommodation:
Day 5:
Enjoy a full day travelling north through the KNP in search of the "Big 5"
and a host of other animals. The KNP is known to be the most diverse park
in the world with 140 mammals, 119 reptiles, ± 506 bird, 55 amphibians
and ± 1980 plant species. Overnight in the KNP.
- Optional activities: Early morning bush walk - with game ranger.

Day 6:
Still in the far northern reaches of the KNP, visit Crook's Corner on the border
between SA, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Afternoon at leisure.
Optional activities:
- Morning - guided tour on foot with the parks rangers to the Thulamela Ruins, former seat
of wicked King Ingwe and beautiful Queen Losha.
- Open vehicle night drive - with game ranger.

Day 7:
Depart from the KNP via Punda Maria Gate. Travel to Tzaneen, visit Modjadji
Cycad Forest Reserve and Sapeco Tea Estate, lunch on the estate at the Pekoe
View restaurant. Overnight in or near Tzaneen.

Day 8+9:
Make your way to Botswana via the small towns of Vivo, Alldays and the Pontdrif
border post. Enjoy some time to relax and unwind on a private ranch in the African bush.
Spend the next two nights in the Tuli block.

Day 10:
This is a long day of travelling, so you would need to depart early morning, after breakfast from your private camp. Travel to Nata via Zanzibar, Selebi Phikwe and Francistown. Overnight at Nata - Botswana..

Day 11:
This morning you will have time to take a recommended optional open vehicle safari to the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, the unique Sowa (Sua) Pan is one of the largest salt pans in the world stretching 252 km˛ and it is known for its prolific birdlife. Overnight at Nata - Botswana.

Day 12:
After a leisurely breakfast you travel to Kasane, arrive in time for lunch at your lodge on the banks of the Chobe River. The "only place in the world where 4 countries meet" is at the confluence of the Chobe & Zambezi Rivers, which is very close to your lodge. The rest of the afternoon and evening is at leisure, giving you time to relax and enjoy the beauty of this area. Overnight at Kasane - Botswana.

Day 13 & 14:
Enjoy the next two days, with early morning open vehicle safaris into "Big 5" country - Chobe National Park, and then you have the rest of the days to relax at the lodge with its beautiful setting along the Chobe River, you can end off your days with a sunset cruise down the river. This area is well known for its large herds of elephant and Cape buffalo. Overnight at Kasane - Botswana.

Day 15:
Cross the border at Kazungula to Zimbabwe for a visit to one of the natural wonders of the world - Victoria Falls. Although Dr David Livingstone first viewed the Victoria Falls on the 16 November 1855 from Livingstone Island in Zambia, the best view of the Victoria Falls is with out a doubt from the Zimbabwe side. Enjoy lunch at the impressive colonial style Victoria Falls Hotel before returning to Botswana at the Kazungula border post. Overnight at Kasane - Botswana.

Day 16:
This day involves quite a bit of travelling. Depart after breakfast back towards South Africa via Nata & Francistown. Depending on your selection of accommodation - overnight near Serowe or in Selebi Phikwe.

After breakfast you cross the border back into SA at the Martin`s Drift / Groblersbrug border post. Travel to Sun City via Lephalale and Thabazimbi the "mountain of iron". Early afternoon arrival at Sun City - "the place where the sun never sets". Afternoon at leisure.

Travel to Bela Bela (Warmbaths), which is known for its hot springs. Afternoon at leisure in the Waterberg Mountains.

Day 18:
Enjoy a relaxing morning before driving back to Johannesburg, the commercial hub of South Africa, drop-off your hired car at the Avis or Europcar office at O R Tambo International Airport. There will be time for some last minute shopping before your departure.

Catch a direct flight to Cape Town from Johannesburg
(We recommend you book your flight between 12h30 & 14h30). Collect your car at
the Avis or Europcar office at Cape Town Airport. Check-in at your accommodation. We recommend
that you do an orientation tour of South Africa's beautiful Mother City.
Visit the Castle of Good Hope, Parade Ground, City Hall, Houses of Parliament,
Tuinhuis and the Dutch East India Company Gardens, these gardens became known
to early travellers as "the noblest and most beautiful curiosity in Africa".

Day 19:
Take a scenic drive around the Cape of Good Hope. Visit Hout Bay and the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker
Island, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point, Boulders - Penguins and Kirstenbosch National
Botanical Gardens. Lunch along the way. Weather permitting - take the cableway up Table Mountain.
Overnight in Cape Town. Our recommended restaurant - Hildebrand on the V & A Waterfront.

Day 20:
Visit the Cape's world-renowned Stellenbosch wine route, also spend some time in the historical towns
of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Overnight in Cape Town. Our recommended

Day 21:
Morning at leisure or you could visit Robben Island, the place where Mr. Nelson Mandela was imprisoned
for 18 years. Lunch at the V & A Waterfront, time for last minute shopping. Return to Cape Town International
Airport and drop-off the hired car at the Avis or Europcar office at the airport. Catch your flight home.
