ABSEILING - If
you're not afraid of heights and crave the
thrill of the extreme, then this is for you. Abseiling can be
enjoyed and booked through various professional abseiling
companies in Cape Town, Knysna, Hartbeespoort Dam,
Howick Falls, Oribi Gorge, Hazyview and Victoria Falls.

SCUBA DIVING / SNORKELING - With over 2800 km of
coastline it is hardly surprising that South Africa has some
awesome diving / snorkeling locations, from shipwrecks to
beautiful coral reefs teeming with sea life. Mozambique is
usually also at the top of the list for most diving / snorkeling
enthusiasts.

BUNGEE JUMPING - Get that adrenalin pumping.
Although, there aren't many bungee jumps in Southern Africa,
South Africa has earned a global reputation of having the
highest commercial bungee jump in the world. The Bloukrans
Bungee Jump will send you plummeting 216m. The other
jump that comes to mind is the bungee at Victoria Falls.

GAME VIEWING - One can experience the wildlife of most
national parks in Southern Africa from your own / hired
vehicle. Private game reserves and most national parks also
offer game drives in open safari vehicles. The main advantage
of a drive in an open safari vehicle is that you usually get a
better view. Although, one must take the weather into account,
as it could be freezing cold early in the morning in these open
vehicles and boiling hot during the day.

TREETOPPING - Canopy tours involve sliding along on
steel cables 30 meters above the forest floor from one high
level forest platform to another. An unequalled experience,
which you are likely to remember for a long time. This can be
done in the Tsitsikamma Forest, KwaZulu Natal Midlands,
Magaliesberg Mountains and Hazyview.

HOT AIR BALLOONING - Something really different,
something really special. Float over the African country side,
whilst sipping fine champagne. Experience a hot air balloon
flight with qualified professional pilots through reputable
operators. Hot air balloon flight schedules are always very
dependant on weather conditions.

WHALE & DOLPHIN ENCOUNTERS - The Southern
Right, Brydes and Humpback whales, visit the shores of
Southern Africa on a yearly cycle. These beautiful gentle
giants, as well as dolphins can be viewed close up by permitted
boat charters throughout the year, with peak encounters from
June through to November. Boat trips are available from most
seaside resorts, but it is most popular from places such as Cape
Town, Gaansbaai, Plettenberg Bay, PE and St Lucia.

HIKING - If you wish to explore unspoilt territories on foot.
From gentle 1 hour strolls to strenuous 5 day hikes are
available throughout Southern Africa. Interesting hikes can be
undertaken in most national parks, as well as regions that boast
with picturesque terrains, rugged beauty and panoramic
scenery.

SHARK CAGE DIVING - This has grown in popularity in
South Africa and there are now a number locations to view
these incredible monsters of the deep. Dive within the safety
of a cage and get so close to these predators that you could
touch them. Although, sharks can be viewed throughout the
year, May to October is the best time to experience a South
African shark cage dive.

MICROLIGHT FLIGHTS - Experience a microlight
flight with qualified & experienced professional pilots who
share the freedom of the sky, through reputable operators,
throughout various regions of Southern Africa. Enjoy flying
over rugged coastlines, soaring mountain ranges and beautiful

BIRD WATCHING - What better place can there be on earth
for bird spotting, than Southern Africa with over 900 species of
birds. For the keen birding enthusiast, we offer various birding
tours throughout Southern Africa to areas with an abundance of
birdlife, with specialist guides. However, hundreds of species
could be identified on any one of our standard tours.

ELEPHANT BACK SAFARIS - Only a couple of people
have managed to train the African elephant humanely, and there
are therefore only a couple of places that we would recommend
for you to enjoy this unique activity, namely - Kapama, Elephant
Back Safaris - Mooketsi, Elephant Sanctuary near Plettenberg
Bay or Victoria Falls. The safari is usually only a couple of hours
and you would therefore not need more than a morning or
afternoon to fit this into your tour itinerary.

HELICOPTER FLIPS - Not only is an helicopter flight a
great experience, but there is also no better way to view sights
such as Victoria Falls, Blyde River Canyon, KZN Drakensberg
Mountains and Cape Town / Cape Peninsula. Different licensed
operators offer various length flips from 20 minutes / flight at
these locations.

MOUNTAIN BIKING / CYCLING - Involve all your fellow
travellers by cranking those pedals along some grueling paths,
through National Parks or take a leisurely ride along the Cape
Peninsula. Various operators in various regions of South Africa
offer cycle rentals or short guided cycle tours.

HARLEY-DAVIDSON BIKE RENTALS - There are those
who experience life, and those who read about it. Have fun
touring South Africa on the back of a Harley Davison (if you are
over 21 and possess a bike license). Experience your entire tour
or part there of, in this fashion. This form of transport can be
enjoyed on anyone of our standard tours, which only covers
South Africa. Tailor-made itineraries are available on request.

KLOOFING / TUBING - An activity that can be enjoyed by
all ages, but this activity is also very dependant on the seasons.
Explore rivers and ravines by foot & tube, and if you are brave
enough or looking for some extra excitement, you can jump off
10 meter high cliffs into deep pools found along the river course.

WATER SKIING - South Africa does not have many lakes, but
it does have hundreds of dams and most of them allow for water
sport activities. A number of resorts situated on these dams
throughout the country offer water skiing and other water sport
activities.

HORSE RIDING - Various organized horse riding trails can
be organized throughout the region. Trails that lead along
beautiful wide beaches, mountain passes or through private
game reserves. One does not have to be an expert, novices are
also catered for. We also offer horse riding tours / safaris, which
will cover different areas over the duration of the tour / safari.

QUAD BIKING - Enjoy the exhilaration of riding a quad bike
on guided trips over rough terrain, from a couple of hours to a
number of days. Although, there are plenty of locations to
experience this activity, it can be best enjoyed along the Sabie
River near Hazyview.

HOUSEBOAT HOLIDAY - Captain your own holiday on the
Knysna lagoon along the "Garden Route". No special
experience and no special license is required. All you need is an
adventurous spirit. Fully equipped 4 & 6 berth houseboats are
available and this is ideal form of accommodation for
fisherman, families and honeymooners.

WHITE WATER RAFTING / CANOENING - This activity is
very dependant on the season. The ultimate white water rafting
experience in Southern Africa is with out a doubt Victoria Falls.
Explore by canoe or kayak some of South Africa's rivers, rivers
such as the Crocodile, Blyde, Sabie, Umgeni and Orange. A very
unique experience is a "Mokoro" ride in the Okavango swamps in
Botswana.

FISHING - SA can offer great fishing due to an abundance and a
large variety of both fresh & salt water fish. Fly fishing for trout,
can be enjoyed along the Drakensberg escarpment in the north
eastern region of SA, the little town of Dullstroom is known as
the trout capital. Surf fishing is possible along most of the
countries 2800 km of coastline and deep sea fishing for the keen
big game fisherman is popular along the KZN & Mozambique
coast.

SAILING - The three oldest yacht clubs in South Africa are
Cape Town, Durban and Knysna. One can enjoy the ultimate
Indian Ocean sailing experience - cruses, sunset cruses, day
sailing, champagne breakfast, honeymoon & dinner charters from
these or other harbours along the coast of South Africa.

CAVING - Various cave formations can be found throughout
South Africa, from spectacular caves such as the famous Cango
Caves, historical caves such as Makapane's Valley, to a world
heritage site such as the "Cradle of humankind" - Sterkfontein
Caves. These caves can be visited by all, but there are adventure
tours for the modern day adventure pilgrim's to penetrate into
the bowels of Mother Earth, these tours are available at Cango
Caves and Sudwala Caves.

SURFING - Surfers would know that South Africa has some
off the top surfing beaches in the world, beaches such as
Jeffery's Bay, Victory Bay and Durban. Surf boards can be hired
and surf lessons are available for beginners under supervision of
SSA qualified surf coaches, at some destinations.

CROC CAGE DIVE - Wet your pants and swim in only one of
its kind swimming pool. This is a new activity offered by the
"Valley of ancients" at Cango Wildlife Centre in Oudtshoorn.
Dive within the safety of a cage and get so close to these
predators that you could touch them. A croc cage dive can be
experienced throughout the year.

SKYDIVING - Live life to the fullest!!!!! Experience the trill of
human flight over some of the most scenic drop zones in the
world. Tandem skydiving requires no experience. View the
beautiful surroundings after exiting a plane at 10000 ft attached
by harness to a qualified instructor who will steer you safely
back to earth.

TABLE MOUNTAIN CABLEWAY - One of South Africa's
most impressive landmarks is Table Mountain towering over
the beautiful mother city of Cape Town. One can either hike up
the mountain or take the cableway which opened its doors to its
first visitors in 1929 and has since then transported over 16
million passengers. The cableway operates every day weather
permitting.

SHARKS BOARD - Find out all about these awesome
predators of the deep at the Natal Sharks Board, the only
organization of its kind in the world. Catch the impressive
audio-visual show or watch a live dissection for an inside view
of a shark's anatomy. Join an early morning ski boat trip out to
sea and watch the shark nets being serviced off Durban's
Golden Mile, you might get lucky enough to see dolphins and
whales.
