Day 1:
Morning arrival in South Africa. Our representative will be at the airport to meet you and hand
over your travel documents (Vouchers). Collect your hired car at the Avis or Europcar office
at Johannesburg's O R Tambo International Airport. Depart to Pretoria for a city tour that includes
the Voortrekker Monument, Paul Kruger House, Church Square and Union Buildings.
Overnight near Warmbaths (Bela Bela).
Accommodation:


Day 2:
Travel to Tzaneen via Pietersburg (Polokwane), visit Bakone Malapa a Northern Sotho living museum,
Debengeni Waterfalls and Sapeco Tea Estate, before having lunch on the estate at the Pekoe View Tea Garden.
This afternoon you can visit the Modjadji Cycad Forest Reserve - home of Modjadji the "Rain Queen" and the "Big Tree",
which is the largest Baobab in the world at ± 6000 years old. Overnight near Tzaneen.
Accommodation:

Day 3:
Depart for the world-renowned Kruger National Park (KNP). Enter the park through Phalaborwa Gate.
Enjoy a full day travelling north through the KNP in search of the "Big 5" and a host of other animals.
The KNP is known to be the most diverse park in the world with 140 mammals, 119 reptiles, ± 506 bird,
55 amphibians and ± 1980 plant species. Overnight in the KNP.
Accommodation:


Day 4:
Explore the far northern reaches of the KNP, also visit Crook's Corner on the border between South Africa,
Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in the park.
Optional activities:
- Morning - guided tour on foot with the parks rangers to the Thulamela Ruins, former seat
of wicked King Ingwe and beautiful Queen Losha.
- Open vehicle night drive - with game ranger.
Accommodation:

Day 5:
Depart after breakfast and a leisurely morning from the KNP via Pafuri Gate. Stop in Mussina for supplies
and lunch, before travelling to South Africa's newest national park, the Mapungubwe National Park on the border between South Africa,
Zimbabwe and Botswana. Overnight in South Africa's newest National Park.
Accommodation:
Day 6:
Take an early morning drive around this reserve before breakfast and a guided tour on foot
to one of South Africa's world heritage sites, namely Mapungubwe - "Hill of the Jackal" an
archaeological site. Depart after lunch for Tshipise hot springs, an afternoon and
evening at leisure at this popular resort.
Accommodation:

Day 7:
Spend the morning relaxing and enjoying the Tshipise hot springs, before you head back
to Johannesburg the commercial hub of South Africa. Visit on route
Gemco Studio - arts & crafts for last minute shopping.
Drop-off the hired car at the Avis or Europcar office at O R Tambo International Airport.
