Day 1:
Our representative will be at the O R Tambo International Airport inJohannesburg to meet you
and hand over your travel documents (Vouchers). Collect your hired car at the Avis or Europcar
office at the airport. Depart via Standerton and Newcastle to Dundee in the province
of KwaZulu Natal, which is also known as “The Place of Heaven”. Overnight in or near Dundee.

Day 2:
Early departure for a day of history and battlefields, visit places that still exude an ambience of a once
mighty Zulu nation, such as the “Battle of Blood River”, the Anglo-Zulu war battlefields
of Isandlwana and Rorke`s Drift. Return to Dundee for the night.

Day 3:
Travel to the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, which is renowned for its white & black rhino conservation
efforts and in by-gone years this reserve was the hunting grounds of Zulu Kings. Spend the rest
of day in search of the “Big 5” and a host of other animals. Overnight in or near the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve.

Day 4:
Take a cruise on the St Lucia estuary, a lake riddled with crocodiles and hippos in the Greater St Lucia Wetlands.
You will then have the afternoon and evening to enjoy Zulu hospitality at its best with a traditional
Zulu festival at one of the Zulu cultural villages in Zululand. Overnight near Eshowe.
Accommodation:

Day 5:
Travel to the Natal Drakensberg Mountains, also known as the "barrier of spears" via the historical city
of Pietermaritzburg, stop for lunch at Howick Waterfall. Overnight near the Natal Drakensberg Mountains.

Day 6:
A day at leisure in the beautiful Natal Drakensburg Mountains where Bushmen left their life stories
in the form of paintings and drawings on the rocks and in the caves. Various caves can be visited in
the form of a guided tour or you could take a walk along one of the numerous nature trails in the parks.
Overnight near the Natal Drakensberg Mountains.

Day 7:
Travel back to Johannesburg the commercial hub of South Africa, drop-off the hired car at the Avis or Europcar
office at O R Tambo International Airport, before your departure.
